Anytime Anywhere Smoothie
This is my go to all time favorite smoothie. It gets its new adaptations every now and then, but this is the base (and the best version). I found that smoothies like these at health food places are always my favorite.
Here we go
The base is fairly simple
2 cups almond milk or any other non dairy milk
1.5 frozen banana
1 TB cacao powder
2 TB hemp seeds
1 spoonful peanut butter
2 dates*
1 tsp maca powder
*If I am out of dates I use maple syrup instead. Sub 1 TB maple syrup for 2 dates.
And that is it!
I also love to add in some form of coffee. At home I use one tablespoon of Laird's instant coffee which is a fine powder. You could also use a shot of espresso or some cold brew! Whatever works.
Sometimes I will add cashews to make it creamy and thick, or cacao nibs for a little crunch.
​If you like a creamier smoothie I recommend more frozen banana than I suggest. The smoothie consistency I like is more thin so the recipe as is will do just that.
